The forms in StartRight use the very popular Contact Form 7 plugin. For full instructions on how to use it, be sure to check out its documentation.

We're just going to go over some basics.

First click on Contact while in WordPress. If you've imported the demo data, as per our install and setup guide you'll see two forms already present.

Important - enter your email address

The first thing is the most important - put your own email address in. Click into the 'Mail' tab at the top and add your email address to the 'To' field. Remember, you'll need to do this for both forms.

Problems receiving mail?

Some people have reported that, depending on the host, the email address needs to be on the same domain as your site. So if your website is tastycoffee.com - you need to have an email address which corresponds to it, e.g. info@tastycoffee.com

You'll need to contact your hosting provider to set up any email addresses in this fashion.

Adding Additional Fields

To add more fields to a form, it's a two-step process. First you need to actually collect the data. On the 'Form' tab you can choose from one of the many common form inputs such as drop-downs or text fields.

Next, you need to actually include this collected data within your email.

You'll see the tags you can use at the top of the page. Ensure that each of those tags are also included in the main body of the email so that the data is actually collected.

We won't be able to provide specific support for this 3rd party plugin - if you have additional queries we recommend the documentation section of the Contact Form 7 site.
