StartRight uses a fantastic plugin called Crelly Slider to display a beautiful homepage slider. You can edit the image, text and buttons to make it your own.
This short guide will go over the basics. For anything else, check out the Crelly Slider support forum directly.
First, ensure you've installed it correctly and added the demo slides. This is covered in the StartRight Install & Setup Guide.
Step 1
Within 'Crelly Slider' Click on the Home Slider to edit it.
Step 2
The first thing you will see are the Slider Settings. There's not much you need to do in this section unless you want to change the default slider size. The settings used in the demo are:
Layout: Full Width
Responsive: Yes
Start Width: 1140
Start Height: 460
Step 3 - Change the Background Image
Let's click instead on Edit Slides at the top and change one of the default demo slides. You'll see the 3 slides we have laid out as tabs along the top of the screen.
You can click on the Select image button and upload a different image here. The slides we use in the demo are 1400px x 450px
Step 4 - Change the Heading Text
Scroll down to the bottom of this same page and you'll see a visual representation of how the slide looks. Click on the first text block and you'll see a border appear around it.
Scroll down a little further and you'll see all the parameters are available to edit. These include the text itself, as well as the position on the slide and the css styling of the element.
You can do the same for each of the other elements such as the sub text beneath as well as the two buttons.
If you have a long string of text, we suggest using the break tag - <br/> - to break the text onto two lines rather than stretching across the entire slide.
The Custom CSS parameter for each element sets the styling - feel free to change this if you wish.
